Patrick Sherman brings substantial employment litigation and counseling experience to Curley, Hessinger & Johnsrud LLP. In his litigation practice, Mr. Sherman has defended employers against claims of discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour violations, breach of contract, unfair competition and trade secret misappropriation. He has successfully opposed class action claims for wage and hour violations.
In his advice practice, Mr. Sherman provides strategic counseling to employers, helping them manage high-risk situations and comply with state and federal employment laws. He regularly drafts and revises handbooks and other employer policies to ensure legal compliance and reflect emerging best practices.
Before joining Curley, Hessinger & Johnsrud's Silicon Valley office, Mr. Sherman was an employment law associate in the Palo Alto office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky, & Walker LLP, where his practice emphasized unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, employee raiding cases, as well as traditional employment advice and litigation matters.
Mr. Sherman graduated from Duke University School of Law in 2003, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Stanford University in 2000. Mr. Sherman resides with his wife and cat in San Jose. In his free time, he enjoys skiing and road cycling.
